Spring Break Wrap Up
Here is a picture of the kiddos in the yard on the last day of everyone's spring break. I'm so happy that EVERYONE went back to work/school today! We've been so sick around here nobody has had a normal week since before Valentine's Day so I was ready for everyone to go where they needed to go and do their own thing today.

Lucky Ducky
I'm only about half Irish, but I still LOVE to celebrate St. Pat's like everyone else. I decided to forgo the celebrating this year, just wear green, and feel INCREDIBLY lucky that Saturday was the first day in over a month that everyone felt good.

Posse Problems
Oh wow what a winter. Yes, the nicest winter weather-wise has turned out to be the year that sickness after sickness has reigned down on our house like some kind of modern day biblical plague. I dragged home the stomach flu a week before Valentine's day and since then, with not a day (or night) of a break 1 or any combo of us has been sick. Taking the gold in the sickness olympics this year would be none other than our Little Bitty Pal who has seen the doctor about 5 times, and has been to the emergency room due to flu stuff, ear infections, and now RSV.
Val Val the little bitty pal in happier times.
Silver goes to our own Nuggety girl, Isa, who STILL is coughing.
Isa, in the "couch bed". She also camped out in the bathroom for a couple of nights so the humidifier would work a little better for her.
Not to be outdone by the children would be the hubs. Yes, Miguel the medical phenomenon had what came across as the exact same flu twice. Amazing! He was fine, then he really wasn't almost exactly a week later.
(Photo unavailable since we've been too busy or sick to take any of ourselves)
This mama, has only had 1 case of the bug, lasting for 2 days and has taken care of the posse since. Here's hoping for a better (healthier at least) spring!
And in other news, these are some pac man cookies I made for 80's theme trivia night.

The Posse Hits the Slopes
And by "slopes" I of course mean the hill in our backyard. Yes fans, the snow finally came after a day of flurries. After dinner Miguel and I presented the Nugget with her first sled and I got the kidlets ready and we headed outside. The trip was considerably shorter for Val than Isa who filled our yard with snow angels and screaming with delight.
Such a nice change to be among the living, Miguel and I were both so sick this past weekend with the virus that's going around so to be able to play outside with the kiddos was kind of a big deal this year.

The Nugget and The Pal
Here are a few pics from life around here.
Pal in the rocking chair ready for a story.
Here's one of both kidlings in the chair with Isa reading to her baby brother.
Don't let this one fool you, she's very much into misbehaving these days, but when she's good, she's adorable!

Because who really needs sleep?
Okay, so the clock reads 3:51 am. Why am I up? Well about an hour and a half ago, a huge bolt of lightning and a giant clap of thunder rocketed my 4 year old into our bed then as we were going to put her back into her own bed, the tornado sirens went off and we were getting ready to go to the basement when they stopped. So we had to do bed time all over again including changing Val's sheets and giving him a bottle, calming Isa down and getting her tucked in after another potty run and then we finally crawled in bed and now I can't sleep. CURSES! So here are a couple of pics having nothing to do with the storm and everything to do with why we were up.

Val Val the Itty Bitty Pal
That's what we call the little prince around here. Along with the Nugget, things are pretty crazy right now. I had no idea that 2 children was so much more work until I had to get them out of the house while there was a cold snap that hit. Getting those 2 ready to brave the elements was NOT pretty but we made it.

There's also this thing I'm doing for the new year. Maybe you've heard of it but there's this website that's taking over my life called pinterest. It's all crafty and awesome and I saw this way to organize your home in 31 days. Now it may take this overachieving turd only 31 days to clean her already clean house and take pictures of it, I'm tackling 1 project a weekend and hoping I can still find all my stuff by the time Easter hits. Don't get me wrong, I like my chaos, the only thing is that if someone asked me where my car keys were, I would never give the same answer twice and while this wasn't a giant problem, now I need the help so stuff has to have a constant home around here- thus my organizing crusade. It's looking pretty good though, I've got the 2 big closets, my laundry area, and now my kitchen pantry looking so organized I think Martha Stewart herself is pea green with envy at my newly discovered organizing mad skillz.
